A law firm seeks a Patent Associate specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Broomfield, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on national and international matters within the Electrical and Computer Science IP practice area.
Duties: Draft and prosecute patent applications. Collaborate with clients and team members on IP strategies. Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses. Provide technical expertise in optics, photonics, and image processing.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience. Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI preferred. Education Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
Certifications: USPTO admission required. Skills Strong advanced mathematics skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in managing confidential information.
