About the role
Job Description We are seeking 2-Application Developers for a remote/In-person attendance may be required for some on-site meetings in Oklahoma City, OK. The position is a multiyear position for modernization initiative to replace aging legacy systems. Modernization responds to long standing challenges such as fragmented workflows, manual processes, limited scalability, and stability issues in legacy technologies. The initiative introduces a modern stack-Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, a document management and process automation solution (pending platform evaluation and alternatives)-to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations. Current state:Legacy systems moved from on-premises hosting to Azure cloud migration in May 2024Member portal modernized July 2025All IS resources support legacy systems while simultaneously building modernized onesProject charter and Software Development Life Cycle established and in practiceEnvironment and foundation for modern applications defined and nearing completion Expected outcomes:All major systems operate on the Azure platform with improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.Reduced manual work, fewer errors, and significantly improved turnaround times.A modern document storage and capture solution, with improved workflows and reduced fragmentationEnhanced security posture.Improved user satisfaction and accessibility.Greater operational resilience and adaptability.Reduced maintenance burden, lower infrastructure costs, and fewer workarounds through modern platform infrastructure.RequirementsKnowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practicesKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including AgileKnowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definitionKnowledge of client business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software SystemFamiliarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration pointsSkill in performing all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for client staff to reviewSkill in developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirementsSkill in developing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlogSkill in developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflowsAbility to deliver high-quality work output with minimal defectsAbility to translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready softwareAbility to collaborate effectively with client technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managersAbility to manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelinesAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesRequired SkillsC#, .Net, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, GITComputer Science or MIS degree with 3-5 years' experience also preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education
