About the role

Overview The Legal Administrator provides administrative and clerical support to the attorneys and paralegals within the Legal Department. This entry-level position is responsible for managing documents, correspondence, and file organization to support the department's day-to-day operations. This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a foundation for a career in the legal field. Relationships Interfaces To: All employees Responsibilities Organize, label, and maintain physical and electronic legal files in accordance with company recordkeeping standards Upload, save, and organize documents to company platforms and internal databases, ensuring accuracy and correct file naming/version control Monitor a shared or departmental email inbox, including sorting, flagging, forwarding, and responding to routine correspondence Scan, copy, print, and distribute documents as needed Prepare and assemble document packets, exhibits, or binders for internal or external use Retrieve and compile documents in response to internal requests (e.g., for appeals, audits, or document production) Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information Coordinate with other departments to obtain or deliver documents and information Support special projects and other duties as assigned by attorneys or paralegals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software Ability to learn and navigate company-specific software platforms and document management systems Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Prior office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred but not required Prior exposure to a legal or healthcare environment is a plus, but not required J-18808-Ljbffr
