Medical Secretary Position Health Partners/Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Secretary to join our Home and Community Services team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: The Medical Secretary provides quality secretarial support for designated department, management, and staff. Assists in the completion and maintenance of routine projects and programs. Supports the process of care delivery to Health Partners/Park Nicollet Home and Community Services. Responsibilities encompass a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to: managing incoming calls and directing them to clinical staff, assisting with Hospice patient registration, and handling release of information requests by coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure records are sent accurately and in compliance with regulations. The role also includes welcoming staff, faxing documents, and sorting mail. Calls received are often from patients or family members seeking assistance from our Home Care & Hospice staff. Much of this role is assisting patients/families in connecting with triage nursing staff. Additional tasks include putting together patient admission packets, building lab sample kits, and registering patients with a medical examiner. Work Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm. Required Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in word processing and office procedures. Working knowledge of office practices and protocol. Must be able to work under pressure, at times, to meet deadlines and last minute assignments. Must be detail oriented, well organized, and able to keep confidentiality.
