About the role
Our client is a well known and highly respected Neurology practice in Fairfax, VA. They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. The LPN will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Fairfax, VA office. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by delivering essential nursing services with professionalism and empathy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to adhering to healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
Duties:
Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation.
Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders.
Triage calls from new and existing patients.
Meet with existing patients for Rx refill evaluation, sleep study introduction and self-injection training.
Assist physicians with procedures if needed.
Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions.
Requirements:
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent credential.
One or more year's experience working in a private practice or hospital environment.
