About the role
Cook at Beckley HotelThe Cook at Beckley Hotel is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for hotel guests. This is a full-time, individual contributor role, located in Beckley, West Virginia. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
Prepare food to standards
Clean the kitchen area
Create and modify menus in accordance with guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal availability
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including but not limited to grilling, sauting, baking, and broiling
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including kitchen equipment and food supplies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
