What You Will Do:
- Oversee investment operations, including investment data, security setup, transaction processing, portfolio activity, and record accuracy across systems and reporting platforms
- Analyze and resolve complex investment data issues impacting accounting, performance measurement, reporting, and portfolio operations
- Research investment activity across fixed income, private debt, structured products, alternative investments, and other institutional asset classes
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, accountants, custodians, administrators, and technology teams to support daily operations and strategic initiatives
- Investigate valuation changes, cash movements, income activity, corporate actions, and other portfolio events
- Improve processes by identifying control gaps, reducing manual work, implementing scalable solutions, and enhancing operational reporting and monitoring
- Support new investment products, managers, strategies, and system capabilities through operational readiness, data requirements, user acceptance testing, and system validation
- Maintain operational documentation, workflows, and controls to support governance, audits, and business continuity
- Provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and contribute to cross-functional projects
- What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, business, actuarial science, or a related field 5+ years of experience in investment operations, middle office, investment accounting, investment data management, performance operations, or institutional asset management
- Experience with institutional investment portfolios and lifecycle events, including securities, investment transactions, cash management, and operational controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex investment-related issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in insurance, asset management, pension, endowment, foundation, wealth management, or other institutional investment environments
- Exposure to fixed income, structured products, private credit, commercial mortgages, alternatives, private placements, or other complex investments
- Experience with investment accounting, performance measurement, security master data, portfolio reporting, or IBOR platforms
- Familiarity with market data vendors, custodial feeds, pricing sources, and investment technology ecosystems
- Experience using SQL, Power BI, Power Query, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar technologies to analyze and improve investment operations dataCFA, CAIA, CPA, CIPM, or progress toward a designation preferred
