About the role
Job Description:
Maintenance Technician – Leather Tannery
We're looking for a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility and equipment running safely and efficiently. If you're mechanically inclined, take pride in your work, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
Perform preventive and routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems
Troubleshoot and repair unexpected equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
Dismantle, clean, and replace defective or worn parts
Support general facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or welding as needed
Assist with other maintenance duties as they arise What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience in one or more skilled trades (mechanics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, or similar)
Self-motivated and reliable with a strong attention to safety
Flexible team player who can adapt to changing priorities
Prior tannery or industrial manufacturing experience is a plus – but we're happy to train the right person
What We Offer:
Competitive pay and benefits package
Overtime available
A stable, long-term role in an established business
All inquiries handled with strict confidentiality
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
