Job Summary:Supermicro is seeking for an experienced Sr. Director, Product Management with superior knowledge, leadership, analytical, strategic, and mentorship skills to be part of our fast-growing product management team. This individual will be holding accountable to manage the expectations of our clients Data Center Solutions and lead to internal engineering teams to drive the development and improvement of Data Center Solutions. Additionally, the candidate will take the lead in create aggressive go-to market plan, and develop product road map, strategically placed the Data Center Solutions in the market to maximize visibility.
This position will be based at our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Partner with sales, marketing, and cross-functional engineering teams to engage with clients on pre-sales meetings and conferences
Represent Supermicro and lead the promotion inquiries of Data Center Solutions to win CSP, NCP, cloud businesses
Collaborate closely with customers to define and enhance the specifications of the products, work together closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the products meet the expectation of external clients
Lead research and analysis of technology, customer, and competitor trends to develop platform portfolio strategy and roadmap
Establish and communicate business strategies, lead cross-functional teams to ensure their day-to-day work is aligning with the strategies
Recruit and build teams, mentor and coach team members to adopt changes in fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Lead and guide the team on process improvements
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
17+ years of working experience in OEM/ODM environment with at least 8 years of experience leading a big team, for example a hundreds people team
Expert knowledge in cloud uses cases, architectures, algorithms, frameworks, head node, and datacenter components
Experience engage with tier one customers with big size CSP deployment is a plus
Excellent analytics and problem solving skills, ability to lead the team to resolve complex issues with high level of ambiguity
Solid interpersonal skills in verbal, written, and presentation with outstanding organization skills to lead cross-functional teams to business success
Salary Range$250,000 - $295,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
