What You’ll Do: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test commercial and industrial electrical systems and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and project specifications. Install and maintain electrical panels, transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and related equipment. Troubleshoot electrical controls, motor control centers (MCCs), and other electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance to improve system reliability and performance. Calculate electrical loads and ensure proper installation. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently. Install new electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation, inspection records, and service records. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, supervisors, and team members. Follow OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety requirements. Mentor apprentices and assist less-experienced electricians when needed.
Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing. 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and related equipment. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and electrical safety practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics. Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, MCCs, motors, and related equipment. Proficiency with electrical hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position. Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentFrequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the day. Regularly lift, push, pull, and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Regular exposure to dust, noise, construction materials, fumes, and moving equipment. Must safely use ladders and work in residential construction environments. Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
