About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) specialist to guide a high-visibility business strategy initiative for executive leadership in Detroit, Michigan. This Contract position will support the coordination of a structured, company-level strategic planning effort, ensuring milestones, decisions, and deliverables stay aligned through completion. The ideal candidate brings strong experience leading C-suite-facing programs, building executive-ready materials, and driving cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day management of a strategic planning initiative sponsored by executive leadership, maintaining momentum across all workstreams. Build and manage the overall project schedule, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical decisions from kickoff through final delivery. Establish and facilitate governance routines, including leadership meetings, status reviews, and approval checkpoints. Coordinate input from cross-functional teams and committees, consolidating their contributions into a unified strategic roadmap and presentation package. Partner closely with senior executives to prepare updates, synthesize progress, and support informed decision-making. Monitor project risks and issues, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns appropriately to maintain timeline and quality expectations. Develop high-quality executive presentations and supporting materials suitable for leadership review and broader organizational communication. Ensure project documentation, action items, and deliverables are organized, current, and accessible to key stakeholders.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
