Rexus USA LLCScope of WorkRexus USA LLC is seeking an experienced Outdoor Wireless / RF Installation Engineer for an onsite radio infrastructure installation project at Luke AFB, Arizona. The engineer will be responsible primarily for the physical installation, cabling, grounding, termination, and testing of the radio infrastructure. Radio programming/configuration is not part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and mount Government-provided URC-300 radio equipment using the designated mounting hardware.* Install approximately 2 × 150-ft runs of LMR-400-DB RF transmission cable.* Install and terminate N-type RF connectors.* Install flexible RF jumper cables between the radio and surge protection equipment.* Install PolyPhaser coaxial surge protectors in the communications room.* Install and secure the required outdoor mounting hardware/weatherhead connections.* Install #6 AWG copper grounding/bonding and appropriate grounding lugs.* Properly weatherproof all outdoor RF/coax connections using butyl rubber and vinyl tape.* Route, secure, label, and dress cabling professionally.* Perform continuity and basic RF/coax testing after installation.* Verify connections and support final operational testing with the onsite Government team.* Follow Luke AFB safety, security, and site-access requirements.* Provide installation photographs and completion documentation.
Required Experience:
Candidates should have hands-on experience with outdoor wireless, RF, point-to-point wireless, two-way radio, cellular/DAS, antenna, or similar communications installations.
Experience should include LMR-400 or similar coaxial cable, N-type connectors, antenna/radio mounting, PolyPhaser or equivalent surge protection, grounding/bonding, outdoor weatherproofing, and RF/coax testing.
No URC-300 programming or radio configuration is required.
Preferred:
Technicians with previous military base, federal facility, telecom tower, outdoor Wi-Fi, DAS, or two-way radio installation experience.
Tools:
Engineer should have standard RF installation/termination and testing tools required to complete the work.
Duration:
Approximately 1–2 days onsite, subject to final site coordination and installation requirements.
