Lead Solutions Architect F&SCM (Contract)

What the job entails We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Supply Chain Management (SCM) Functional Solution Architect / Lead to support an established implementation team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will take ownership of key SCM functional workstreams, providing solution architecture, functional leadership and hands-on expertise across Advanced Warehouse Management (AWMS), Planning Optimization, Product Information Management (PIM), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).Working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants and technical teams, the consultant will be responsible for: Leading solution design and implementation across the key D365 F&O SCM modules. Providing functional architecture expertise, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and Microsoft best practices. Overseeing AWMS configuration, warehouse processes, inventory management and associated integrations. Supporting Planning Optimization, PIM and EAM processes and functionality. Leading requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops and functional documentation. Guiding functional consultants and technical teams through configuration, testing, issue resolution and deployment. Acting as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex SCM challenges. Ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated and aligned with the wider D365 F&O implementation strategy. This role requires a confident, hands-on SCM Solution Architect who can take ownership of complex functional areas, lead delivery and provide expert guidance to the wider project team. Key requirements / What we look for Proven experience as a D365 Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management Functional Solution Architect or functional lead, able to take ownership of these workstreams. Strong experience in Advanced Warehouse Management (AWMS).Strong experience in Planning Optimization.
