About the Role: Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Specialist for a contract opportunity with a growing logistics company in New Haven, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a professional with experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination. The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products while supporting operational goals and maintaining high service levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain activities from procurement through delivery
  • Track inventory levels and assist with inventory planning and replenishment
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shipments
  • Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports to support operational decision-making
  • Monitor purchase orders, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines
  • Assist with demand forecasting and inventory control initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and supply chain issues
  • Maintain accurate records within ERP and inventory management systems
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to meet business objectives
