About the Role:
The Batch Maker plays a critical role in the production process within the non-durable goods manufacturing industry by accurately preparing and mixing raw materials to create product batches according to specified formulas and quality standards. This position ensures that all ingredients are measured and combined precisely to maintain product consistency, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Batch Maker collaborates closely with production supervisors and quality control teams to monitor batch progress and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the mixing process. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to prevent contamination and ensure efficient production flow. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating ingredient quantities. Ability to follow detailed instructions and batch recipes accurately. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in non-durable goods. Knowledge of mixing equipment operation and maintenance. Understanding of quality control principles and batch documentation. Certification in food safety or related regulatory compliance (if applicable).Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities:
Measure and mix raw materials accurately according to batch recipes and production schedules. Operate and maintain mixing equipment, ensuring it functions properly and safely throughout the production process. Monitor batch quality by conducting visual inspections and basic tests, reporting any deviations to supervisors. Maintain detailed records of batch production, including quantities used, times, and any anomalies encountered. Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment. Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to resolve issues and optimize batch processes. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after each batch to prevent cross-contamination.
