About the role
This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement following 90-days of employment.
The Position
This position will support an attorney with transportation related cases on a permanent basis at a national law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Contact outside sources to retrieve information and review and analyze same
Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources for case information
Prepare written discovery requests and objections
Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants in large multi-party cases
Summarize transcripts and organize key documents
Prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
Manage documents and maintain organized case files
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required; Paralegal Certificate preferred
4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including trial preparation and attendance
Insurance defense and/or construction defect experience is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to integrate into a team-oriented environment with ownership in your own docket of cases
Experience with drafting subpoenas and creating logs for records received.
