Contracts Manager

DescriptionProvides guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, terms, and conditions.Conducts contract administration including interpretation and implementation of administrative requirements of contract documents and ensuring owner compliance.Proactively identifies and addresses any deviations or issues that may arise during the implementation of contract terms.Pursues project contractual/legal and financial entitlements through proactive preparation of contractual correspondence and contractual notices as required.Processes interim and final payment requests, including obtaining full and proper payment for work executed, all in accordance with the terms of the contract.Manages relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.Serves as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues from the project team.Prepares regular reports and analysis on contract activity, including key metrics, trends, and performance indicators.Creates and negotiates requests for variations, change orders, and claims.Provides on-project training to internal stakeholders on contract administration, contract interpretation, change management, claims management, and the like. Mentors, coaches and provides feedback to Assistant Contract Managers and Contract Administrators.Performs other duties as assigned.Employment Conditions8 years of experienceKnowledge of the construction process of complex infrastructure projectsKnowledge of all aspects of the contracting processLong term contract experience preferredCompetenciesLegal Issue SpottingStrategic ThinkingBuilding ResponsibilityClaimsResults OrientationWorking for InclusionInfluencing and CommunicatingDecision MakingContract LawCritical ThinkingContract ManagementOrganizationProblem SolvingContract AdministrationWriting
