About the role

We're seeking a highly analytical and strategic Retail Media & Marketplace Analytics Lead to drive insights and performance across key retail channels, with a primary focus on Amazon, Walmart, and Target. This role sits at the intersection of eCommerce, retail media, and merchandising, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that inform investment decisions, optimize marketplace performance, and unlock growth opportunities.
What You'll Do: Own end-to-end analytics and performance measurement across retail media and marketplace channels, spanning both paid and organic initiatives. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that track key performance indicators, including ROAS, TACOS/ACOS, conversion rate, share of voice, new-to-brand acquisition, and contribution margin. Build SKU- and ASIN-level reporting to connect media investments, organic rankings, content quality, inventory, and profitability. Identify growth opportunities through deep analysis of marketplace trends, customer behavior, and performance data. Design and evaluate test-and-learn initiatives, including incrementality studies, holdout testing, and geo experiments, to optimize media effectiveness and investment strategies. Analyze the impact of product detail page enhancements—including titles, imagery, A+ content, video, and reviews—on search visibility, click-through rates, and conversion. Partner cross-functionally with retail media, marketplace operations, merchandising, and content teams to diagnose performance shifts and recommend strategic actions. Develop guardrail metrics and early-warning indicators to proactively identify risks such as declining conversion, rising TACOS, inventory constraints, or buy box challenges. Deliver assortment and merchandising insights related to demand trends, seasonality, pricing, and category performance to support business planning decisions. Lead the integration and governance of marketplace data sources to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across teams. Standardize reporting methodologies and KPI definitions across stakeholders and external partners. Present complex findings in a clear, concise, and executive-ready format that drives decision-making. What We're Looking For5–7+ years of experience in retail media, marketplace analytics, or eCommerce analytics. Significant hands-on experience with Amazon, along with strong exposure to Walmart; experience with Target's retail media ecosystem is highly preferred. Proven success translating marketplace and media data into insights that improve profitability, drive ROAS, and accelerate category growth. Expertise with tools such as Amazon Brand Analytics, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), Walmart Luminate, and comparable marketplace platforms. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience designing, executing, and interpreting experimentation frameworks and incrementality analyses. Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex datasets for both technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice to Have: Experience with pricing, promotions, assortment optimization, or packaging analytics within an eCommerce or omnichannel environment. Familiarity with SQL or similar query languages. Experience partnering with agencies or third-party vendors on reporting and performance initiatives. Understanding of PIM/DAM systems and marketplace content health methodologies.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
