About the role
Location: Millington, TN
Shift: 2nd Shift | 1:00 PM Start Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead second-shift warehouse operations in Millington, TN. The ideal candidate will bring strong frontline leadership experience within a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment, with particular strength in pick, pack, and ship operations. This role is responsible for leading a large team of hourly employees, maintaining productivity and service expectations, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring the team safely and accurately meets daily goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily pick, pack, and ship operations during the second shift.
Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop a large team of warehouse associates.
Set clear daily expectations and hold team members accountable for productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.
Monitor operational KPIs and performance goals, identifying areas that require immediate attention or improvement.
Drive productivity while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
Coordinate labor and workflow based on daily volume and operational priorities.
Identify operational bottlenecks and take action to maintain efficient product flow.
Ensure employees follow established warehouse processes, safety procedures, and work standards.
Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and training to employees.
Partner with other operational leaders and support functions to resolve issues and meet customer and business expectations.
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, workflow, quality, and productivity.
Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous warehouse or distribution supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading large teams of hourly warehouse employees.
Strong experience overseeing pick, pack, and ship operations.
Proven ability to drive productivity and operational performance goals.
Experience monitoring KPIs and using performance results to coach teams and improve operations.
Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
Ability to manage competing priorities and make effective operational decisions.
Experience holding teams accountable while maintaining employee engagement and morale.
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift with a 1:00 PM start time.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The strongest candidate will be a hands-on operations leader, not someone whose experience has been primarily administrative. We are especially interested in individuals who have directly managed warehouse associates and can speak specifically to:
The size of teams they have supervised.
Their experience with picking, packing, shipping, and outbound operations.
The productivity or performance metrics they were responsible for.
How they handled employees or departments that were not meeting productivity goals.
How they managed high-volume or peak-period operations.
Examples of operational improvements they implemented.
Their leadership and coaching approach on the warehouse floor.
Schedule Expectation:
This position supports 2nd shift and begins at 1:00 PM. Candidates should be comfortable with this schedule before moving forward in the interview process.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
