Da/Pro Rubber is currently hiring for an experienced Lab Technician for our Broken Arrow facility located at 601 N Poplar Ave, Broken Arrow, Ok The pay range for this position is $12.00- $16.00 per hour, negotiable with experience. The schedule will be 8am to 4pm
JOB SUMMARY: The Laboratory Technician (Lab Tech) tests samples of milled rubber and/or Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) for basic adherence to specified requirements. Lab Techs also run samples through a press machine to create molded products, document test findings on paper and in a computer database and keep the lab area clean. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Lab Technician: Tests rubber compounds using various instruments such as a rheometer and tensometer as well as performs specific gravity, hardness and physical properties testing. Prepares documentation of results according to company requirements with a primary focus on quality control. Notifies the Chemist when samples don’t meet standards. Loads rubber preps and/or LSR on to molds and operates automated press machine to create molded parts. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations Understand and communicate details logically and accurately Accurately record information High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with computers and various MS Windows and browser-based software. Must Be Proficient in Excel Basic Lab Procedure Knowledge Ability to Multitask Medical, Dental, Vision and Short Term Disability insurance available.
