Marriage and Family Therapist Profession: Marriage and Family Therapist Specialty: Marriage and Family Therapist Job Type: Travel Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 40 Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Clinical Psychologist (PhD) licensure in state of practice: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required Department Specific License/Certifications: Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required Essential Functions: Meets with entire families and/or individually with family members to assist them with functioning more effectively. Counsels families and individuals regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan. Interviews family members to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information. Educates patients and their families about mental illness, treatment plans and resources. Facilitates regular multidisciplinary review meetings for the purpose of planning care and assessing the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, group therapy processes and program components. Discusses progress toward goals such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational programs, and other related problems. Completes and maintains individual and group counseling notes and documentation. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Jobs Notes: Located at the Vallejo campus; Day Shift, M - F, 8am to 4:30. Discuss schedule with manager when interviewed, some flexibility. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Required Master's Degree: Preferred Postgraduate experience in acute inpatient or outpatient mental health services, with specific experience in group process and individual counseling: Preferred Organizational Requirements: Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
