About the role
Material Handler Spur Industrial is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support our structural steel fabrication shop and yard operations. Responsibilities include receiving, unloading, organizing, and staging steel and other materials; loading fabricated steel and materials for delivery to jobsites; operating forklifts and material-handling equipment; verifying material quantities, identification, and condition; keeping material storage areas organized and accessible; assisting Production and Shipping/Receiving with material movement; reporting damaged, missing, or incorrectly identified material; maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area; and following all company safety procedures. Qualifications include being dependable, punctual, and safety-minded; forklift experience preferred; experience in steel fabrication, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping/receiving is a plus; ability to read basic measurements, material tags, and shipping paperwork; comfort working indoors and outdoors around heavy equipment; ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday; and a strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
