About the role

The NWN Portfolio Director is responsible for the end-to-end leadership of a portfolio of strategic accounts within a defined geographic region. This role owns Services P&L performance, account profitability, delivery excellence, and growth strategy across all programs and projects within the assigned portfolio. The Portfolio Director operates as the senior Services leader for assigned accounts, partnering with Sales, Delivery, and Customer stakeholders to drive business outcomes, ensure customer satisfaction, and expand services engagement. Accountable for Services P&L performance across assigned portfolio of strategic accounts Owns account-level forecasting (contracted and pipeline) and ensures accuracy of revenue and margin projections Oversees portfolio-level delivery performance, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and customer outcomes Drives margin improvement through cost optimization, resource alignment, and proactive risk mitigation Leads growth strategy, including upsell and cross-sell of NWN services within assigned accounts Establishes and maintains executive-level client relationships and serves as primary escalation point Partners closely with Sales Leadership, Account Executives, and Delivery Teams to align strategy and execution Leads quarterly Services Account Reviews leveraging KPI dashboards and performance insights Oversees program governance frameworks, including risk, issue, and dependency management across the portfolio Collaborates with Sales, Legal, and Finance on proposals, pricing strategies, contract structures, and dispute resolution Accountable for service improvement initiatives, delivery optimization, and customer experience enhancements Acts as Executive Sponsor for Services within assigned accounts Manage or oversee direct and indirect resources, including Program Managers and Project Managers QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, engineering, or a related field preferred 12+ years of experience in IT services, program management, or portfolio leadership 5+ years in a leadership role managing programs, portfolios, or strategic accounts Experience managing P&L ownership, forecasting, and margin optimization across a services portfolio Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent programs and complex account portfolios Deep expertise in portfolio, program, and project management best practices (PMBOK-based) Strong financial acumen, including cost management, revenue forecasting, and margin analysis Ability to translate business objectives into delivery strategies and execution plans Strong risk management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Exceptional client-facing communication and executive presentation skills Experience driving strategic account growth and client relationship management at the executive level Leadership experience in cross-functional environments, including Sales, Delivery, Finance, and Legal teams Experience mentoring and leading Program Managers or PMO teams Experience in enterprise, commercial, or public sector environments preferred PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred Remote – 80% Hybrid (Client location or Regional Corporate office) – 20% #J-18808-Ljbffr
