About the role
We are partnered with a rapidly growing hardtech start-up in El Segundo looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. Role is on-site with flexible hours. Comp: 170-185k + bonus & equity Responsibilities: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Own consolidated financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis Research and resolve technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAPPartner with auditors and manage annual audit processes Drive process improvements across accounting and financial reporting Support acquisition integration and accounting standardization initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams Mentor accounting staff and help scale the accounting function Support ERP enhancements and reporting optimization efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading close, consolidations, and audit activities
- Technical accounting research experience
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or product-based environments preferred
