About the role

Overview: An aerospace and advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive compliance, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities: Review engineering and design changes for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Support New Product Introductions (NPI), design changes, and cross-functional engineering activities. Lead root cause investigations and manage CAPAs. Analyze defects, track quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement efforts. Support internal, customer, FAA, and regulatory audits. Conduct and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 requirements. Review manufacturing documentation, test records, and build packages. Partner with suppliers and internal teams to improve quality performance and resolve nonconformances. Support MRB activities, incoming inspections, supplier audits, SCARs, and NOEs. Track supplier performance, customer returns, and corrective action effectiveness. Maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and workmanship standards.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering environment (internship, co-op, or professional experience).Experience leading root cause investigations. Experience with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Aerospace, aviation, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience. Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, FAA regulations, and quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing. Supplier quality and audit experience.
