About the role

Fabric Assistant We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Fabric Assistant to support our fabric development and production team. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fabric sourcing, development, quality, and production processes. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in textiles and apparel and is eager to learn. Responsibilities include coordinating fabric samples, maintaining fabric charts and documentation, communicating with suppliers, tracking submissions and approvals, assisting with purchase orders, and supporting the team with day-to-day fabric development and production activities.
Responsibilities: Assist with fabric sourcing, development, and follow-up with suppliers. Maintain and organize fabric samples, production samples, and related records. Prepare and maintain fabric charts for both development and production. Collect and upload FDS and other required documentations, including test reports and sustainability certificates. Assist with creating and placing purchase orders for proto and sample yardage. Communicate daily with mills and factories to monitor sample yardage status and deliveries. Track fabric submissions, approvals, and production status. Follow up on outstanding sample requests, approvals, and production-related issues. Assist with purchase orders, shipping information, invoices, and other fabric-related documentation. Assist with reviewing fabric quality and color and providing comments to suppliers. Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications: 02 years of experience in textiles, or a related field; relevant educational background is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of fabric terminology, construction, fiber content, and fabric development and production processes is a plus. Strong interests in textiles and a willingness to learn about fabric sourcing, development, and production. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable communicating with mills, factories, and internal teams. Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn. Experience with PLM or other product-development systems is a plus.
