Base salary $90,000-$100,000 Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, 401k. Join a collaborative R&D team developing and improving formulated cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and antimicrobial products used in dairy and food-processing applications. This is a hands-on opportunity to lead formulation and analytical projects, work with a variety of laboratory instrumentation, and grow into increased project and leadership responsibilities.
Requirements: MS or PhD in Chemistry Laboratory experience with product formulation and testing Experience formulating with existing raw materials; surfactants, cleaners, coatings, or similar formulation experience preferred Titration experience required Working knowledge of HPLC, UV/VIS, viscometer, and autotitrator Strong understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Strong attention to detail and technical writing/communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Publication or patent experience preferred Willingness to learn project management and potentially take on leadership responsibilities Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Job Duties: Lead the development and improvement of formulated products Independently plan, execute, and document research projects Serve as project manager for assigned R&D projects Develop and validate analytical test methods Conduct physical and chemical testing Perform formulation development, optimization, and scale-up Develop and conduct stability studies Support product registration and regulatory requirements Transfer analytical methods to Quality Control Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment Plan experiments and accurately document results Contribute ideas to the team's R&D project pipeline Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and other internal teams
