About the role
- Perform bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and microbiology testing according to established procedures
- Process and culture specimens, identify microorganisms, and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing
- Evaluate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot microbiology instrumentation and equipment
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and laboratory policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership to deliver exceptional patient results
- What you bring
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related fieldASCP (MLS/MT or MLT), AMT, or equivalent certification preferred
- Microbiology laboratory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of culture techniques, organism identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
