You'd coach Airmen and operators in the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing and the 820th Base Defense Group.
What you'll do: Design and run strength and conditioning programs for individual Airmen and whole squadrons Run performance testing, including Occupational Specific Physical Fitness Assessments (OSPFA)Bring injured Airmen back to training safely, working with their medical team; teach nutrition alongside a registered dietitian Track performance data and brief trends to unit leadership weekly and quarterly Keep the training facility and equipment safe, clean, and organized What you need (all required)Master's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or a related health science fieldNSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)American Red Cross CPR/BLS/AEDAt least 3 years in the last 5 as a strength and conditioning coach for elite athletes (military special operations, professional, Olympic, or NCAA Division I), with periodized programming and equipment procurement as primary duties Able to demonstrate every exercise you prescribe, hike rough terrain, work in austere conditions, and lift 25 kg (55 lb) plates Able to pass a federal Tier 1 background check Schedule Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PMFederal holidays off Occasional travel with the unit inside the U.S., plus occasional early, late, or weekend support for surges and special events Good to know before you apply This job depends on the Air Force awarding OPTML the contract.
