About the role

OverviewAs a Steampunk Senior Release Manager, you will be an integral part of an Agile team working closely with the project manager and development teams. You will own the complete release lifecycle which includes being responsible for scheduling, coordinating, planning, and controlling the delivery process in collaboration with your government counterpart. The Release Manager is the major liaison between application development and government production support teams for release management. The Release Manager will manage and optimize the release process in conjunction with the application development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong Project Management skills as well as release management experience with cloud technologies.ContributionsNegotiate, plan, and manage all release activitiesTrack risks and issues that affect release scope, schedule, and qualityMeasure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on timeCommunicate release details, expectations, and schedules to the business as requiredConduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviewsProvide regular release reporting to stakeholders and project teamWork closely with development staff to resolve build problems and merge conflictsContinually work towards making improvements in the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automationMaintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification listsQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other engineering or technical disciplineand/or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience in Release Management performing responsibilities similar to those described for thisrole3+ years of experience as an Analyst or Developer on projects utilizing Agile Scrum methodology for systemdevelopment with scale and scopePrevious experience in the government or with government clientsEligible to obtain and maintain and government security clearanceKnowledge of software development lifecycleSolid understanding of project management principlesExperience using JIRA, Confluence, or other project management softwareDemonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completionPreferred:Experience managing Salesforce integrations along with core development and delivery skillsExperience with 2GP (2nd generation packaging)Experience in the CRM domain; understanding of overall SFDC architecture and working knowledge of SFDCintegration approach, architecture, and release managementExperience with SAFe Agile development methodologiesAble and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimalsupervisionAbout steampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
