About the role
- Responsible to keep the Co-op deli products sold in our store stocked and presentable· Oversees ordering· Works with the Food Service Team Members on how to merchandise deli products
- May be directed to act as a supervisor by the Food Service Manager
- Assists in quarterly inventory
- Is responsible for clear, clean and accurate signage for deli merchandise
- Ensures that department core items and sets are fully executed and in place at all times· Core items and sets will be provided by the Prepared Foods Director
- Serves as a liaison to the Department Manager by providing suggested adjustments to par levels based on sales trends and shrink
- Holds Deli staff accountable for high retail execution· Provides supportive training and at the moment correction to staff
- Provides manager with documentation regarding situations and issues that arise
- Models and enforces safe work habits and follows Food Safety Procedures
- Serves as a liaison to Department Manager by providing them with objective information regarding any performance issues observed with deli staff
- Understands and follows call in procedures

- Qualifications and Skills
- Previous leadership experience desired; background in cashiering or retail grocery/deli industry preferred
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service by projecting a friendly, outgoing presence and maintaining a respectful demeanor at all times
