Job Description: Full Stack Developer
Overview:
Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Technical Lead and hands-on Java developer for the application.
Develop, enhance, test, and support Java-based applications, services, and APIs.
Maintain and improve the current-state application, including troubleshooting complex production, integration, and performance issues.
Perform root cause analysis and drive improvements in application stability, performance, reliability, and supportability.
Evaluate the existing architecture, codebase, integrations, and technical dependencies to identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and simplification.
Help define the future-state architecture and technical roadmap in partnership with architects, business partners, analysts, and development teams.
Lead and contribute hands-on to the development of future-state capabilities, modernization initiatives, and proofs of concept.
Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, secure, and supportable technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership through architecture and solution design, code reviews, development standards, mentoring, and technical problem-solving.
Plan and support implementations and deployments with a focus on minimizing production risk and system outages.
Collaborate across teams to manage technical dependencies, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on Java application development experience.
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Java Developer with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong Java development skills with experience in enterprise application development.
- Experience with APIs/services, integration technologies, application design patterns, and object-oriented design.
- Experience supporting and enhancing existing or legacy applications, including production troubleshooting.
- Experience contributing to application modernization, optimization, or future-state architecture.
- Strong understanding of databases, SQL, application/web servers, operating systems, and enterprise integrations.
- Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle, source control, code reviews, testing, deployment, and change management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on with Java coding, debugging, design, and implementation.
