About the role

Administrative Assistant IOur client, a Coatings And Paints company, is looking for an Administrative Assistant I for their Kansas City, KS location. Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials, preparing charts, graphs, or tables as necessary. They will receive and respond to routine correspondence following established procedures not requiring management review. The role requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. Typically, a high school education or equivalent is required. They will use designated software packages including word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and presentation software in the performance of position tasks. A minimum of 60 wpm is required; speedwriting or shorthand may be required. They will assist employers by performing secretarial and administrative tasks, handling a high volume of detailed work. They will compile, analyze, and reconcile reports, preparing and verifying weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports such as indexes, budgets, inventories, etc. They will organize employer's appointment schedule, maintain business records and files, open and sort incoming mail, prepare replies or direct mail to their employers for reply, arrange conferences and travel accommodations, handle purchase orders, payments of bills, and expense vouchers, and work with confidential materials, personnel records, payroll, and salary data. They will work with minimal supervision and may be skilled in a specific work environment, such as legal, finance, or marketing. They will prepare letters, memos, invoices, manuscripts, and other business documents as directed, using designated word processing software.
