About the role

Enamel Wire Operator The Enamel Wire Operator is responsible for using machines to apply enamel insulation to wires in accordance with manufacturers specifications and customer product orders. Primary Responsibilities include rolling reel into jack, removing reels from payoff, reloading reel or basket, welding wire ends together to feed machine, applying insulation, monitoring machine process, stopping reel when full and changing out, monitoring processes and controls to assure quality, maintaining accurate inspection logs and reel labels, setting up ovens and running wire through machines, using and reading micrometers to measure wire, completing paperwork, recording and entering data, placing completed reel in designated location, and communicating to supervisors and
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum Experience Required: Entry level. License(s) and/or Certification(s)
Required: n/a. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices, maintain cleanliness of work area, ability to use tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer. Computer literate.
