About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who leads from the floor, not the office. You’ll own day-to-day plant operations — people, machines, schedules, and safety — and partner directly with the Director of Operations to make our plant safer, faster, and more efficient. This is a high-visibility role with real authority and a direct line to leadership, ideal for a leader who wants to build a team and see the results of their work every day.
Responsibilities: Direct daily manufacturing operations, allocating labor, materials, and workflow to hit production, quality, and on-time delivery targets. Drive utilization and uptime across 200+ machines, coordinating preventive maintenance and resolving bottlenecks to improve throughput. Execute daily and weekly production schedules aligned to demand forecasts and resource availability, adjusting quickly as priorities shift in a high-mix environment. Coach, train, and hold the team accountable; conduct performance reviews; and build a positive, high-performing shop culture. Lead plant-level OSHA compliance, safety protocols, and company policies; run pre-shift meetings that set goals and reinforce safety. Identify root causes and resolve production, equipment, and staffing issues independently and decisively. Track KPIs (output, scrap, uptime, OTD, labor efficiency) and report plant performance to senior leadership. Partner with the Director of Operations to implement manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: 5–7+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing plant, ideally in metals, machining, or a similar high-mix, low-volume environment. Proven ability to manage employee relations — coaching, discipline, conflict resolution, and performance management. Hands-on knowledge of machine operations, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and a genuine commitment to workplace safety. Strong floor presence with excellent communication and team-development skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems. Ability to lift 50–60 lbs and work on a manufacturing floor for extended periods.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
