Location: Upper Marlboro, MD (On-site)
Compensation: $50,000 – $70,000 + Performance-Based Bonuses
Who You Are:
You are a design-obsessed creative who lives to bring ideas to life visually. You're not just making things look good; you're crafting intentional, high-impact graphics that elevate entire environments. You thrive on translating concepts into compelling visual systems across a wide range of formats — from digital mockups to large-scale print production. You have a sharp eye for detail, a deep respect for typography and layout, and an understanding that great design is both beautiful and buildable.
Why This Role Matters (For You):
This is your opportunity to design work that doesn't live on a screen — it lives in the real world. You'll play a critical role in shaping immersive environments, brand activations, and high-end events through graphic design. You won't be handed templates; you'll help define the visual language of each project. Working alongside a collaborative creative and production team, you'll see your designs through from concept to final installation.
What You'll Actually DoBring concepts to life: Develop original graphic design concepts that align with project vision, brand identity, and spatial environments.
Design across mediums: Create print-ready artwork for large-format graphics, signage, vinyl, murals, and environmental installations.
Think beyond the screen: Design with real-world execution in mind — understanding scale, materials, and how graphics translate into physical space.
Collaborate deeply: Work closely with producers, fabricators, and designers to ensure graphics integrate seamlessly into the overall experience.
Prepare for production: Build accurate, organized, and technically sound files for print and fabrication, ensuring everything is ready for execution without surprises.
Results (What Winning Looks Like):
Designs elevate the experience. Your work enhances every environment it touches — adding clarity, energy, and visual cohesion to each project.
Concepts translate seamlessly. What's envisioned creatively is executed flawlessly because your files are thoughtful, precise, and production-ready.
Teams trust your work. Producers and fabricators rely on you because your files are clear, accurate, and easy to execute.
Your work stands out. The graphics you create aren't just functional — they're memorable, impactful, and aligned with our standard of excellence.
Requirements:
(What You've Already Mastered)3+ years of graphic design experience: Strong portfolio demonstrating work across print, branding, and environmental or experiential design.
Technical expertise: Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and print production workflows.
Spatial awareness: You understand scale, proportion, and how graphics live within physical environments.
Production knowledge: Familiar with large-format printing, materials, and file preparation best practices.
A-Player mindset: Proactive, solutions-oriented, and deeply invested in the quality of the final product.
This Role Is NOT For You If...You prefer working strictly in digital or screen-based design.
You're not detail-oriented or struggle with file organization and production accuracy.
You don't enjoy collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
You're not excited by the idea of designing for large-scale, real-world environments.
