Job Description
Job Title: Ready-Mix Concrete Truck Driver
Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Ready-Mix Concrete Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting and delivering ready-mix concrete safely and efficiently to commercial, residential, and infrastructure job sites while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Transport & Delivery: Deliver ready-mix concrete to assigned customer sites according to daily schedules and specifications. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DOT/FMCSA compliant) to ensure truck safety and proper operation. Slump & Mix Control: Inspect concrete slump at job sites and make adjustments within specified parameters as directed by customer/dispatch. Cleanliness & Maintenance: Thoroughly wash down the truck, discharge chute, and hopper after each delivery to prevent concrete buildup. Customer Relations: Interact professionally with contractors, site supervisors, and dispatch while obtaining signatures and delivery confirmation. Safety First: Adhere strictly to all company safety standards, local traffic laws, and OSHA/DOT regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 6 months of ready-mix driving experience required.
CDL: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or Class B).
Endorsements: Air Brakes endorsement required (Tanker endorsement preferred).Medical Certification: Valid DOT Medical Card. Clean Record: Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and clear background/drug screen.
Skills: Ability to operate a manual or automatic rear/front-discharge ready-mix truck, maneuver heavy vehicles in tight job sites, and handle minor troubleshooting. Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders to check hopper/slump, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
