About the role
- Provide specialized psychological assessment and treatment services for children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health concerns.* Conduct psychological assessments and provide behavior therapy using current, evidence-based practices and techniques.* Provide clinical services in outpatient and, as applicable, inpatient settings.* Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to support comprehensive patient care.* Contribute to the education, training, and mentorship of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate-level learners from a variety of disciplines.* Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, case conferences, teaching rounds, seminars, quality improvement activities, scholarly activities, and other academic activities as assigned.* Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in pediatric psychology, psychological assessment, behavioral intervention, and related areas of practice. Furthermore, job duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required Qualifications:Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or a related discipline.* This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.Certifications/Licenses: Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Kansas with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB), or eligible for licensure in Kansas.Work Experience:* Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing behavior therapy for children and adolescents with childhood mental health disorders.* Experience collaborating with families of children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
