Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Junior Web Developer at Journey Coffee Co. The Junior Web Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of the company’s websites and web applications, helping improve user experience for customers and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include implementing front-end interfaces, assisting with back-end functionality, debugging issues, and optimizing site performance. The role also involves collaborating with designers, marketing team members, and senior developers to translate business needs into functional web features. The Junior Web Developer will participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and contribute to documentation to ensure consistent and maintainable development.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess Front-End Development and Web Design skills to build responsive, accessible, and visually consistent user interfaces. Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development and Programming skills to support server-side logic, data handling, and integration with APIs. Candidates should possess general Web Development skills to work across the stack, troubleshoot issues, and support deployment and maintenance. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script, and at least one back-end language or framework (such as Node.js, Python, or PHP).Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Ability to learn quickly, follow coding standards, and communicate clearly with team members in a remote environment. Relevant coursework, bootcamp completion, or practical project experience; a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
