About the role

- Assembles, installs and aligns dies into press according to specifications
- Adjusts shut height and speed to set-up sheet
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects parts for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct error using Statistical Process Controls
- Cleans machines and related work areas
- Must have basic computer skills and navigation
- Be able to perform each primary duty and responsibility satisfactorily
- Possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compare rate, ratio and percent
- Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Mental ability to:
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram format using several abstract, concrete variables
- Physical ability to:
- Walk, talk and hear
- Visually see close, distance, peripherally, and color; also recognize depth and adjust focus
- Stand for long periods of time
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
