Job Description: The Sr. Manager of Domestic Compensation Finance within the Cable Networks Finance team will manage headcount and compensation planning for Domestic Cable Networks operations. This is a highly visible leadership role and must be able to work collaboratively across the organization engaging with executives from Human Resources (HR), Operating Groups, and Finance. The candidate must be a finance domain expert on compensation expense, providing key leadership in compensation planning, reporting, analysis, and metrics. This is a crucial role in the organization with financial oversight on a major component of Paramount annual operating expenses. This position will report to the Vice President of Cable Networks FP&A.
Principal Responsibilities: Financial oversight of headcount and compensation for domestic operations with over 1,000+ staff employees, including review of commissions monthly payouts Leverage various financial systems to forecast and report compensation expenses and headcount related to monthly/quarterly closes, periodic forecasting, annual budgeting process, and long range planning Provide leadership team with information and insights to better plan and manage labor workforce Partner with HR to align headcount reporting and related expenses to organizational changes Maintain strong working relationship with various stakeholders: HR which includes Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Systems, and Generalists Finance track leads by Groups and Departments Operating groups Represent the finance team on initiatives that impact headcount and compensation planning, reporting, and analytics Skills And Capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to juggle multiple and frequently changing priorities Ability to communicate effectively across various departments and with various levels throughout the organization Strong executive presence and relationship management Strategic and highly analytic mindset Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong analytical abilities and decision-making skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment and deal with ambiguity Ability to create strong working relationships and work well both as a team player and individually Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes, including US GAAP/IFRSAbility to identify process efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities and propose suggestions and issue resolutions Ability to act as a business partner to stakeholders Ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and deadlines
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting 6-8+ years of financial planning and analysis, reporting, and accounting-related experience High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong communication skills across various departments and organizational levels Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Additional Qualifications: Experience with salary and employee planning preferred Experience with compensation planning principles preferred Employee-related FP&A experience preferred Experience in Oracle Fusion, Longview, or SAP is a plus Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry is a plus Pay Rate$71.44-$76.44/hr
