Join Our Team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description: - Provide essential immobilization devices to enhance patient comfort and safety. - Select and expertly operate Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed by physicians. - Evaluate radio images using the PACS System to guarantee diagnostic value and proper identification. - Ensure radiation protection for both yourself and patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. - Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals with precision and care. - Perform radionuclide procedures for organ imaging and function studies, working alongside physicians for therapeutic radioisotope applications. - Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use and calibrate equipment accurately. - Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages in compliance with state and NRC guidelines. - Maintain meticulous records of radioisotope receipt, storage, use, and disposal according to state and federal regulations. - Uphold cleanliness and orderliness to create contamination-free environments for patients and staff. - Follow all NRC and JCAHO guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care. - Rotate work assignments as needed, including in Cardiology and PET/CT. - Complete daily clerical tasks, utilizing systems such as EPIC, Teletracking, and Nuclear Medicine Information Systems. - Engage with patients upon arrival, employing A.I.D.E.T. standards for excellent service. - Adhere to organizational policies related to behavior, attendance, and punctuality. - Tailor care to meet the diverse needs of the patient population, considering factors such as age, culture, and language. - Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers at their level for optimal understanding and support.
