Sales Engineer – Data Centers
Territory: Midwest Region — Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and surrounding areas
Work Arrangement: Remote
Travel: Up to 50%We are seeking a Data Center Sales Engineer to drive profitable revenue growth throughout the Midwest region. This position is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and selling industrial services to data center and industrial customers. Industrial services experience with Data Centers and/or Industrial Water is highly preferred.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement market strategies, market penetration plans, and business development goals. Identify, negotiate, and close profitable revenue opportunities while building long-term customer relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts within customer organizations. Analyze customer requirements and market drivers to recommend appropriate services and pricing. Manage assigned customer accounts and revenue responsibilities within the territory. Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships. Build relationships with Data Centers, General Contractors, and other key industry stakeholders. Maintain accurate customer and contact information and document sales calls, customer visits, and business opportunities. Support significant project scopes and customer appointments as needed. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Facility Operations, and other internal teams to grow revenue. Promote effective communication and coordination between customers, sales, operations, and customer service. Manage sales expenses and ensure timely submission of business expenses. Maintain a strong commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.3–5+ years of relevant sales experience. Direct experience selling to Data Centers and/or General Contractors strongly preferred. Industrial services, environmental services, industrial water, or related industry experience preferred. Strong sales, negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships within customer organizations. Ability to identify opportunities, develop proposals, negotiate, and close business. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.Ability to work remotely.
