About the role
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Jewelry & Diamond Accountantto manage day-to-day financial accounting, stock management, and reconciliation. As a key member of our finance team, you will handle daily ledger maintenance, inward/outward inventory tracking for loose lab-grown diamonds and finished jewellery, bank reconciliations, and vendor/customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger & Daily Accounting: Maintain accurate daily accounting records in Tally, Quick Books, or Right Click ERPto ensure up-to-date financial books.
Inventory Management & Reconciliation: Track daily inward/outward transactions of diamonds and fine jewellery; conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
AR/AP & Ledger Management: Manage vendor accounts, customer billing, purchase/sales entries, payments, and receipts.
Bank & Account Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations and oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Financial Reporting Assistance: Prepare ledger balances, inventory valuation sheets, and routine reports for senior management/auditors.
Qualifications & Experience:
Verifiable accounting experience (preference given to candidates with experience in the Jewelry or Diamond industry).
Software Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in Right Click ERP, Tally Prime, or Quick Books.
Skills:
Strong understanding of inventory valuation (carat/gram tracking), ledger reconciliation, and attention to detail.
