About the role

The Administrative Specialist provides advanced administrative, organizational, technical, and project coordination support to the Director of Economic Development and department staff, including administrative responsibilities related to County Airports. The position helps ensure efficient day-to-day operations, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, and accurate management of projects, grants, contracts, incentives, financial records, and compliance deadlines. The role operates with limited supervision and requires sound judgment, professionalism, exceptional attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential information. Executive & Administrative Support Communications & Stakeholder Coordination Airport Administrative Support Financial, Budget & Procurement Administration Data, CRM & Reporting Project & Workflow Coordination Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Business Management, Legal Studies, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative, executive support, project coordination, legal support, public-sector, financial, or compliance experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Experience in local government, economic development, airport administration, grant administration, contract management, public finance, or board support is preferred. Experience with grant compliance, incentive agreements, financial reconciliation, CRM systems, or project-tracking databases is preferred. Paralegal experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license required.
