General Manager (m/f/d) / CEO United States – Premium Lifestyle Products East Coast (United States) The company Our client is an internationally established manufacturer of premium lifestyle products seeking a General Manager to lead its U.S. business. The company combines European manufacturing and brand expertise with an established U.S. platform, positioning itself as a full-line supplier in its segment. As it enters its next phase of growth and professionalization, the company is looking to strengthen the leadership of its U.S. business for the long term.
The position: Own overall responsibility for revenue, earnings, profitability, and continued growth of the U.S. business through clear strategic and operational leadership. Lead, stabilize, and further develop the U.S. organization across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service. Develop and execute a robust growth and go-to-market strategy. Build and manage strategic key accounts across hotel and restaurant groups, caterers, distributors, contract-supply partners, select retailers, and cruise lines. Advance the brand and assortment strategy and systematically leverage the combined portfolio, including cross-selling opportunities. Professionalize forecasting, inventory management, sourcing, logistics, product availability, and service levels in close coordination with international supply flows. Establish transparent reporting, KPI, and governance structures and actively shape transatlantic collaboration with the European headquarters.
Your profile: Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree, ideally in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, a demonstrated track record of success in a comparable senior management role. Several years of enterprise-wide responsibility as CEO, President, General Manager, or in a comparable operational leadership role with significant P&L responsibility. Deep experience in the U.S. market, preferably in hospitality, foodservice, contract supply, or a comparable professional B2B environment with key account leadership. Strong operational expertise in international procurement and supply chains, particularly forecasting, inventory management, distribution, product availability, and working capital management. A proven track record of professionalizing established, family-owned, or founder-led organizations, as well as leading transformation, post-merger integration, and governance buildout. A principled, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented leader with strong personal credibility, sound judgment, decisiveness, a hands-on approach, resilience, and exceptional collaboration and integration skills. Fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly within the United States and to Europe; German language skills are a plus but not required.
