North Reading Veterinary Clinic is an established, full-service, small animal hospital located in North Reading, Massachusetts. We see dogs and cats Mondays through Saturdays. Our staff provides services such as comprehensive medical care, digital radiography, routine and orthopedic surgical care, dental prophylaxis with radiography, mass removals, ultrasounds, in-house lab work/diagnostics, and more. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Located off the Ipswich River, just outside of Boston, North Reading, Massachusetts has a lot to offer visitors and residents alike. Ipswich River Park is a stunning 49-acre site including a conservation area, restored wetlands, walking paths, sports fields and courts, playgrounds, and more. The city is known for being one of the best places to live in Massachusetts and has highly rated schools. Our proximity to Boston allows residents to enjoy everything new and old, including historical landmarks, fine dining, theatres, breweries and more. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy whale watching, boating, fishing, hiking and more! Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Whether you're looking to just be a master of your role or trying to grow into that next career move, you'll have opportunities through a variety of virtual and hands on, interactive training and continuing development. An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 2-years experience preferred. Surgery experience required Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
