- Review current software architecture, UI strategy, and development processes
- Identify technical gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Recommend changes to improve scalability, supportability, and future growth
- Work with front end, back end, and embedded software teams
- Partner with UI designers and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Help guide development decisions in a regulated medical device environment
- Support resource planning and future team structure discussions
- 15+ years of software development experience
- Strong background in medical device software or another regulated industry
- Experience as a software architect or senior technical leader
- Hands-on experience with C++, Linux, and Python
- Embedded software experience
- Experience working with UI designers or graphic designers
- Background in hardware and software integration
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams
- Comfortable contributing in a consulting role and getting into the weeds when needed
- Experience with medical device capital equipment
- Experience with Class II or Class III devices
- Background in procedural or clinical environments
- Experience with real-time data visualization, system monitoring, or workflow-driven design
- Experience with data import/export, logging, automation, or cybersecurity
