Overview: We are seeking a dynamic hands-on Accounting Operations Manager to lead the accounting operations team. This position will report to the CFO working on site at our Modway Headquarters in East Windsor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: -Manage accounting operations including Accounts Receivable and Payable-Direct supervision of the Accounts Receivable and Payable staff.- Manage the accounting workflows for customer returns, processing fees, and chargeback disputes-Support the monthly general ledger close process-Create and improve accounting standard operating procedures.-Drive continuous improvement identifying opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows and reporting-Training and cross-training of staff on operational procedures-Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments to support workflows and projects that support continuous improvement initiatives Experience & Competencies:-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-Accounting experience in manufacturing and wholesale environment preferred-5+ years of proven experience hiring, training and developing employees-Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy- Strong understanding of accounting operations and internal controls.-Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills-Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures-Proven ability to interpret complex financial concepts, such as debits and credit, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries-Advance skills in accounting systems Modway offers competitive market compensation, paid lunch, federal and company holidays (12 to 15 holidays a year) benefits including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, Life and Disability Insurance, 401K, employee discount, and PTO.Modway is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any applicant for employment by race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
