Requirements: A master's degree in Speech-Language PathologyValid license in Speech-Language PathologyValid Driver's License Two years of school environment experience preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with school personnel, such as teachers, psychologists, and other related service personnel to meet the needs of all students
  • Provides language classroom interventions as part of Response to Intervention (RTI)
  • Conducts speech/language screenings using appropriate screening instruments
  • Administers formal and informal speech/language assessments based on individual student needs
  • Observes students in the educational environment
  • Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding the need for speech/language services
  • Prepares evaluation summary and reports in a timely fashion
  • Serves as member of the IEP team as appropriate
  • Communicates effectively to school personnel and parents
  • Provides speech/language based activities commensurate with students' abilities, interests and aptitudes
